And the Winner Is….
Well, gang, the big moment’s arrived. sorry ‘bot the delay. It’s just your jokes have had me and Lawrie (and even Mum) laughing hard with smiles as wide as the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V sweep panoramic shots.
So without further adieu the winner of that cool Cyber-shot is… Al Benge. Congrats Al. Team Sony will be in touch to get your camera your way.
Thanks gang, you were all very funny and we like liked all your jokes, but unfortunately there can only be one winner.
What an amazing two weeks it’s been. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried (well I did when Mum wasn’t gonna let me go to JFL), and most of all, we’ve like liked.
I’ve learnt so much about comedy from all the professionals… and that’s just from you, gang!
But I also got to see some all star comedy big guns live at the House. And what a house it is! I’m going back there for sure. Mum’s even asked me to take her to see something cool and grab some nosh while we’re there. My second fave place is the Sofitel but I’m not sure if I’ll be allowed in there for a bit. Oops!
Meanwhile I’m gonna keep polishing up the comedy gold and cracking funnies as cool as SJC, MC, MS, L.C.K., R.H., D.M. and W.A. That’s not the place btw, that’s our Will.
And I got to record the memories on my cool Cyber-shot camera. Not only that I got to give one away to a very funny funny…. Thanks heaps team Sony. If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have been able to see all this cool comedy, let alone film it.
But sadly, all this comedy gold does have to come to an end and dirty socks do need to be ironed.
So gang, keep like liking and remember to laugh out loud.

Who’s Got a Comedy Hangover?
I don’t know about you but I’ve got a complete comedy hangover that not even a bucket of Berocca’s will fix.
I mean, let’s look at the last four days.
We’ve seen the likes of SJC and my comedy crush, MC, good ol’ movie star MS (in the raw with a curly wig singing show tunes nonetheless), we’ve seen laid back witty guy DM and irreverent UK TV host RH, not to mention the totally un-pc humour of L.C.K.
Yep, we’ve seen some of the world’s best all stars with ace comic veterans from the comedy hall of fame. We’ve discovered raw new talent and seen some of our own – and that’s just here with you, gang. You’ve all been serious comedy legends. You’ve made me laugh, you’ve made me cry, you’ve made me laugh so much I did cry – hey, but don’t tell anyone, right. I don’t want the world to think I’m a Mummy’s Boy.
And now gang, JFL might be over, but we’re not out.
We’ve still got the fabo Sony DSC-HX9V Digital Still Camera to give away.

What Do You Mean It’s Almost Over?
Gang, I can’t believe we’ve only got one night to go, can you?
One more pumpin’ night of JFL? It’s totally not fair. But chin up gang. What a ripper night it is!
We’ve got Russell and Louis and Dylan and Demetri…and me. Just kidding. No me on the SOH stage tonight.
But hey, one day. I already feel closer to livin’ the comedy dream. And I will…you watch.
And so will you, if you really want to.
Keep those laughs happening here ‘cos it’s not over yet. Keep the jokes rolling thick and fast. And go hard. Go fast. Go strong. Keep going for comedy gold.

Daddy’s Day
What a cool night at the Gala last night. Thanks Sony.
A total who’s who of international comedy with SJC as MC (nope he wasn’t being Maragaret, he was Master of Ceremonies). Lotsa funny funnies about his divorce. Crikey, if I ever leave home and get married, I hope it’s not as expensive as his! Young guns Russell Howard and Demetri Martin were as different as they were funny. Russell gave us high octane current affairs and cheekiness while Demetri was laid back, witty and kinda, well, funny. Homegrown Will Anderson was even funnier and much, much faster than on the teev, Louis C.K. made lots of fun out of his two bellies and Martin Short told some totally tall tales…in song!
Now with today being Father’s Day I thought I’d give a great big happy as Larry g’day to all the cool, funny Dads out there. Even mine. Well, he’s not exactly cool, but he is funny.
And Dads are great fodder for bloopers aren’t they? All those blooper shows love to pick on Dads. And cats. And dogs. And pools and swings and lots and lotsa falling down.
But today, we’re not doing that. We’re being totally grown up about celebrating Dads in da House.
We’re celebrating Dylan Moran and John Cleese, Martin Short and Louis C.K. And quite frankly I think I’d be worried if Russel Howard or Demetri Martin were fathers. Or Margaret, for that matter. But no matter.
Celebrate Dad’s Day LOL style.

The International Comedy Gala Getup Crisis
Have no idea what you’re supposed to wear to one of these International Comedy Gala shindigs. I mean, the poshest event I went to was our local RSL’s renovation party. Everyone had to wear a bowtie and bring their own sledgehammer.
But somehow, I’m thinking this is a little more fancier.
So these are the choices:
- Wear black…oh, I already am.
- Wear the Borat lime green g-string (but Lawrie says there’s already enough violence in the world).
- Wear nothing (ditto to last)
- Wear a total tux. Mum says you can pick ‘em up on Ebay for only $19.99
- Go as a Knight whosays Ni.
So, what ya reckon?
What’s the funniest, most fashionable outfit of choice that’ll make me look…well, choice.
